- Brochures on doing business in Greece can be found in the side bar to the right.
As an EU/EEA country, Greece is under the same regulations as most other countries in Europe. However, there are bureaucratic and cultural issues that Norwegian companies should be aware of when doing business here.
The Norwegian Embassy has a good cooperation with KPMG and Invest in Greece. These entities can provide helpful information and guidance to Norwegian companies that are looking into the Greek market. You can download their brochures from the side bar.
Norway encourage business entitites to include social and enviromental concerns in their activities, as set out in the Government Report to the Parlament number 10 2009. Greece is troubled by the black economy and lack of transparency in the political and economical day to day life. The government is well aware of this, and prime minister Papandreou has made the fight against corruption and black economy one of his government's main priorities. For more information, visit Transparency International in Greece.
Through a newly establish Business Forum, the Embassy wants to help Norwegian companies in Greece develop a good relationship.
You may also contact the Embassy if you have questions. Ms Polyxeni Anastasiou is our Commercial officer.
