Norway's National Day celebration 20th May

The Norwegian Association and the Embassy in Athens are happy to invite you to a celebration of Norway's National Day. As customary in Athens, the celebration will take place on the nearest Sunday, this time on Sunday 20th May. Reiseregistrering -Lengre opphold i Hellas og Kypros

"Travel Registration" is an online tool and part of the Foreign Ministry's contingency planning. It's a web-page which offers the opportunity for Norwegians travelling, staying abroad permanently or for a longer period, to register their contact details. Previously, Norwegians in Greece and Cyprus could register at the embassy. This is not possible anymore, as travel registration replaces this option. Read more on how to register (In Norwegian). Nordic Contingency Seminar 2012

"Plans are nothing, Planning is everything", Eisenhower said. With these words in mind, Nordic embassies, consulates, institutes, the Scandinavian church, tour operators and the Greek police and civil protection authorities spent a day together last week with the aim to be better prepared and with a joint Nordic response in the possible event of a crisis. The yearly seminar focuses on working more closely together and strenghtening all participants' competence in crisis management. You can also find information about Norwegian participation at the Outview Film Festival, and a Greek-Norwegian exhibition on the island of Crete.
