The Koriander Chamber Choir will hold a concert at the Mikis Theodorakis Concert hall in Agryoupoli the 19th of May
The Koriander Chamber Choir (KCC) was established in Oslo in 2004 by former singers from Akademisk Korforening, the mixed choir of the University of Oslo (UiO). KCC counts at present 21 experienced singers.
During its five years of existence, KCC has given a number of concerts in the Oslo area and has also given concerts together with another chamber choir in the region. In May 2008, the two choirs jointly arranged a chamber choir festival in eastern Norway.
In Athens, the choir will perform songs from their varied 'a capella' repertoire including madrigals, Scandinavian folk songs, Nordic modern choral music, negro spirituals, and evergreens, conducted by Arnulv Ingar Hegstad. They will also appear on the National Day Celebrations in Athens.
The choir will be joined by The Koriander Dance Group, fiddle player Christian Borlaug, and the Children's Choir of the Municipality of Voula directed by Ludmila Kazartzeva.
