The concert was the second of a series of cultural events organised by the Norwegian Embassy and the Norwegian Institute at Athens held at the Theocharakis Foundation 17 October
Every improvised recital of George Psychogios is unique and unrepeatable. After all, none of us came into this world with an instruction manual attached; and so it is with the recitals of the pianist and composer. The only path which leads him is the path of his own heart, mind and soul which is expressed through the extraordinary and explosive temperament of this new pianist.
So let us leave our hearts and minds open and let us follow George Psychogios on the journey that he takes…Who knows? He may lead us to paths of spiritual discovery and elation which we need so much in this hectic modern world.
The recital is divided in tow parts with a ten minute break.
Part A: Lyrical and sensitive coming direct from the soul
Part B: A deep research in our personal universe.
One of the pieces will be based on the 2nd suite of “Peer Gynt” by Edvard Grieg.
