It's not often that Norwegian football teams play in Greece or Cyprus, but in August it will happen twice! Norway and Cyprus are in the same qualification group for the 2011 Under-21 Championship in Denmark and on the 12th of August the two teams will play a match that, according to the Norwegian Football Association, will start at 20.00 local time.
The Norwegian squad, which was announced today, holds three players from foreign clubs: Tarik Elyonoussi plays for Heerenveen in Holland. Håvard Nordtveit is owned by Arsenal, but will be going on loan to Nürnberg in the German Bundesliga. Jo Inge Berget is currently on loan at Lyn Oslo from the Italian club Udinese. The rest of the players are all in the squads of Norwegian Tippeliga (top division) clubs.
Two of the players, Harmeet Singh and Mohammed Fellah, will be seeing a lot of the Mediterranean area, as they are also a part of Vålerenga, the team that will play PAOK in Thessaloniki on the 6th of August.
