    ‘Eat Norway’ from February 15

As part of the world championship extensive cultural program, Oslo will turn into a showcase for Norwegian food and ingredients. At night, the public can eat from the NWSC menu at 55 certified restaurants in downtown Oslo.

The 55 restaurants have composed their own world championship menus consisting of specifically Norwegian food, that will be available from the 15th of February until the 6th of March.

You’ll know that you have found a world championship restaurant when you see the ‘Eat Norway sign at the door.

    Healthy, tasty and traditional

The food-project is a result of a challenge from Agriculture and Food Minister Lars Peder Brekk, who saw the great potential in using the Nordic World Ski Championship as a platform to promote quality Norwegian food.

    – Norway is a small, local part of the world, with its own very distinctive and local character Brekk said at the launching of the menu.

International twists are also represented in the ‘Eat Norway’ project. Some of the so called ethnic restaurants in Oslo also have a Nordic World Ski Championship menu, presenting Pakistani, Italian and Asian food made out of Norwegian commodities.

Those of you who are not visiting Norway during the championship can consider picking up some recipes on the healthy and tasty Norwegian seafood
