Hear Nordic classics at Kalymnos

Steen Vidar Larsen (photo) and Gøran Samuelsson play songs by some of Scandinavias most beloved artists at the Greek island of Kalymnos.

Alf Prøysen (1913-1970) is one of the greats of Norwegian music, and his songs are still well known today. On August 19th, Steen Vidar Larsen (Norway) and Gøran Samuelsson (Sweden) will give the audience at Kalymnos a trip down memory lane, which also includes songs by the Swedes Cornelis Vreswijk and Evert Taube, both important figures on the Scandinavian cultural scene in the last century. Larsen and Samuelsson promise to play Mikis Theodorakis as well - in both Greek and Swedish! The duo will also perform some of their own songs.

The concert, which is at the 19th of August, costs 7 euros and starts at 21:00. It will be held at the Agios Ioannis plateau outside the church in Massouri.
