Photographer Lene Marie Fossen.
Lene Marie Fossen is an amateur photographer from Norway. She has been traveling extensively around Europe but no other place captivated her interest more than the Greek island of Chios. She visited all the small villages, seeking the unique character of the people of Chios. Through her lens, she focused on the elders, the living reminders of times past, a Chios living its traditions far from the hustle and bustle of today's modern Europe. This exhibition is Fossens's displays of Chios as she saw the island. Fossen presents her own exhibition with a few poetic words (read the full text):
MOMENTS
As a little child I always wished I could stop time.
Just for a moment.
Time passed by so fast, I didn’t want to grow up, I wanted to stay in childhood.
Then I started to photograph.
And I found my magic wand.
With my camera I can stop time.
For a moment.
See her photo exhibition "Moments" at Citrus Museum at Chios from July 1 to 21 every day from 09.00-21.00.
