Arja Saijonmaa on a Greek-Nordic music night

In August the star singer Arja Saijonmaa will perform her music in Kalymnos - together with Greek and Norwegian musicians. Entrance is for free.

On the beautiful island of Kalymnos, 24 August you have the opportunity to listen to a fine combination of Greek and Nordic music. The Finnish star singer Arja Saijonmaa has for a long time made albums with Swedish translations of songs by Mikis Theodorakis, and now she will perform some of them in Kalymnos. Petter Somer will accompany her on the piano.

In addition to Saijonmaa, Norwegian musician Steen-Vidar Larsen will also perform some of Mikis Theodorakis work. Local musicians from Kalymnos will accompany Steen-Larsen.

Larsen, from Slemmestad in Norway, is regularly touring in Norway, and a new CD is also on its way.

This is the second year in a row Norwegian musicians is playing a concert together with their Greek friends.

- Our ambition is to build relations between Greek and Nordic musicians, says initiator Ketil Edmond Fjeld.

The concert starts at 9 PM and entrance is for free.
