-The philosophy of the Platon school is that internationalism is one of the most important elements of education in the 21st century, and we therefore wish to open our arms to students of different national origin, says history teacher Tanya Petratou of Platon school.

The International Baccalaureate programme

The IB Diploma Programme is a challenging two-year academic and balanced curriculum aimed at students aged 16 to 19. It leads to a qualification that is recognized by practically all the world’s leading universities. The Diploma Programme is not just a preparation for university, but it also helps students to question situations and information, to learn how to learn, to understand their own identity and culture, and enable them to communicate with and understand people from other countries and cultures.

In order to strengthen the international profile, the Platon school has introduced a bilingual programme which is tailor made for mixed nationality families, since regular classes are taught in Greek and English. The school also offers another service, upon parental request, which allows for the teaching of a different mother tongue other than English or Greek.

See Platon School’s web page to learn more about all the programmes offered at the school.
