Norwegians can vote in Greece

A new legislative amendment passed by the Greek government enables Norwegians to vote in municipal elections.

Up to now, only Greek citizens and European Union nationals residing permanently in Greece could vote in municipal elections. Now the ballot box is open to legally residing immigrants from all countries.

Voters must be legal and permanent residents, 18 years old or older, and must also prove they do not have a criminal record. For more information, visit the Ministry of Interior's website www.ypes.gr

Registstration before August 31 at the local municipality election office for the election on November 14.
