Polio can be eradicated within the space of five to six years. Norway is to increase its level of support for efforts to eradicate polio by NOK 190 million, to NOK 240 million (USD 40 million).

A new museum relating the thousand-year-long history of Poland’s Jews was recently opened in Warsaw. Norway has provided NOK 22 million in funding to the museum through the EEA and Norway Grants.

Cyprus first ever integrated basketball team, comprised of six Greek Cypriot and six Turkish Cypriot boys, competed at the Norwegian youth basketball tournament, the Hansa Cup - and won a superb second place! Cyprus gets its first specially designed shelter for women of domestic violence and their families. The shelter will be built with the support from EEA and Norway Grants and the Norwegian Secretariat of the Shelter Movement, partner in the implementation of the project.
