Norway invests in Greece

By the end of 2010, the fund owned equity from 34 Greek companies, valued at EUR 469 million. The biggest equity position was in National Bank of Greece, where the fund owned equity valued at EUR 85 million. The fund’s holding was 1,5 per cent of the total equity from the company at year end 2010.

– In addition more than half a billion euros was placed in government bonds. That makes the total investment in Greece 1,1 billion euro, says Øystein Sjølie, Communication Advisor in Norges Bank.
